For this week’s creative challenge, we wanted to see your One Shot wonders!
We asked you to share your images where you were able to capture your creativity in camera! All these images only have color toning and retouching but no composition work done in post process.
I hope this selection of images from our challenge inspire you to capture as much as you can in one shot too!
Thank you to everyone who submitted, we really enjoy seeing all of your creations and can’t wait to see what you show us in the next challenge!

Some SOOC (minus color grading) for this week’s #bellakotakchallenge ! Shout out to The Backdrop Studio for the dope backdrop.
Straight out of camera, no edit at all, for #bellakotakchallenge. This was so amazing to shoot as we had all these little fish swarming us the whole time. Timing the shot was haaaaard

From a conceptual spread featured on the covers of Gothesque Magazine back in 2018. No artificial elements added in post, simply retouching and color correction. 2 of these 4 images were shot using a single strobe; the other 2 use natural light, and the “mist” is real smoke bombs that we set off. The title of the series is “The Mist Awakens”.

SOOC with retouching & color toning.
SOOC + Edit
My favorite thing about the creative process is the production- this is when the magic happens for me !

About 3 years ago a publisher in America wanted 150 of my images to publish a book of my work (search my name on Amazon)
But at the last minute they wanted 35 images pulled and replacing. I had 3 months to plan, shoot and edit whilst working around a demanding full time job. And the shoots had to be as different as possible or do a couple of different sets during the same shoot, otherwise it would have been 35 pages of the same, and who’d want to see that.
So with these, it was natural daylight, 50mm prime lens, 2 models, outfits and just a little bit of lightroom and photoshop. No compositing.
This week the challenge feels not really like a challenge for me, because I regularly only change the colors in my pictures. Anyway, I still like to show something and hope you like it.

Straight out of camera challenge. Only turned it B&W.
We all worked so hard on this shoot. It was inspired by the Arthus-saga and I’m so in love with the results. I always love the coloring from @selenophileart it looks so magical. Hans made the crown himself the day we shooted and I was sewing until the last minute and didn’t sleep that night.

Shot with my Pentax, natural light, outdoors.
Only minor color adjustments and light skin retouch.
Image was heavily inspired by the “Birdman” character created by Chiara Bautista ❤️

Almost out of camera – I adjusted the colors a little bit, did a quick skin retouch and a bit dodge&burn. I really think this picture doesn’t need anything else.

We shot this in the beginning of August, after my cheap (but fun) colored led light has arrived and we picked up some last remaining flowers of summer, before a heatwave hit Germany. 🌷 In the post I did a bit of retouch and color grading and finished it with “Black Gold” from The Color Lab Collective.

This one has no compositing- but of course it does have (heavy) skin retouching.

Mother Mushroom and her Shroomlings! 🍄
The amazing model Mia (@Mia.costumes) made this costume + the little shroomlings around her! We hung them in a dead tree while she was sitting on one of the roots. The only thing I did was some color & contrast correcting
Isnt this ADORABLE?! 😍🍄
Pretty much everything I do is SOOC + colour adjustments/retouching. I haven’t really delved into the art of composite yet! First photo was edited in Lightroom + retouching in PS. Second photo was all in PS. 🖤

No compositing, only toning end some retouch. / Tiara and styling by Наталия Солнечная, Model: Наталия Солнечная
To these pictures I’ve only done some skin corrections and light settings. They are basically like I took them

‘Solstice Dance’
I guess I always have it “straight out of the camera” 🔥
‘The Healer’
#sooc with just color grading in Lightroom and a touch of ps on his eyes and skin.
‘Dark Woods’
No compositing. Color grading, retouch, and tree is even more magnificent than my lens could capture.
Older one, worrying about this tree being in the path of the Bay Area wildfires.
