This week’s creative challenge theme is From A Story Book.
Fantasy and fairytales are all about storytelling, and we are all often inspired by tales from our childhood or myths and legends.
Characters, concepts, and colors all play a part in our creative journeys, so we were excited to see how story books have inspired your own work!
Thank you to everyone who submitted work for this creative challenge, the talent has been unreal!

I used the following actions: “La Vie En Rose”, “Regal” and ICP

On the planet of Vormir, lies the soul stone. If you truly know your soul and what you want and what you are meant to be, you will pay anything to get it. But for some, the price is too high. I can only hope my amazing friends are willing to pursue what they love. Me? I love to create such things that make my soul happy.
I pulled inspo from Vormir and Asgard. Colored with Infinite Color Panel and Garden of Life from The Color Lab. Particles from Infinite Texture Panel.

I didn’t know if I could post more than one photo but I wanted to share with you and Bella this shoot that is very important to me. Since my beginning, back in 2012 I dreamed of doing this shoot inspired by Alice. hope you like it

I adore fairytales and story books, here are just a few of my favs; The Secret Garden, Rapunzel

‘The Six Swans‘

Did someone say storybook? This is another image from my fairytale series (based off the Brothers Grimm story “The True Sweethearts”). The location was shot in a living museum in the south of England and the models and feathers were shot in studio here in Portland OR.
Anne of Green Gables.
I chose Anne cause I feel a lot like her. A little weirdo often rejected, and fleeing in her own world of fantasy and books.

I’ve not had a chance to shoot anything creative for ages due to lock down, but these were taken from a series I shot called “Grimm: once upon a time…” for uni a few years ago, and it’s an idea I’ve always wanted to revisit.
Stories included:
Little Red Riding Hood
Snow White
Beauty and the Beast

The caged bird that dreams to be free.

These are inspired by the death of Prince Theodred from Tolkien’s “Unfinished Tales” and then with details about Rohirric visual elements and customs taken from “The Two Towers.” The costuming was important to us, as we wanted to base the look on 11th and 12th century design as opposed to fantasy. We also crafted a funeral bier, and painted the banners + shields.
